Fuerteventura's Caleta de Fuste, in the Canary Islands, is located close to the airport and is a fairly new town and holiday destination. Caleta de Fuste boasts many facilities to keep you and the kids occupied and most of these are featured within these pages.
Caleta has been around for about 10-15 years, before that it was a coastal, er...coast. Not much happening at all, but now it is a thriving community with child-safe beaches, and their various water and sand based activities, as well as bars, restaurants, tours, cruises, coastal walks plus much much more.
Stoners Irish Bar, is another hidden gem. Located in Nuevo Horizonte (a 20 minute coastal walk, or a €4 can ride), it boasts a light and airy bar, serving great local beers, as well as a few bottled UK and Irish standards.
The food is wonderfully tasty and excellently presented by an excellent team and overseen by Bobby. Including the music side of things; Karaoke or live music can be heard most nights, and this tends to stop when people have given up and gone to bed. As you can guess the opening hours are very flexible, and shall we say...interesting.
This is a bar I don't get to enough (same for most of Nuevos bar mentioned on this site), but its worth the trip just for the craic.
A place you WILL visit again as the evenings seem to revolve around "fun". What more can I say
