A special man made beach makes a safe haven for young children to play and swim and the nearby harbour offers a wide range of water sports including sailing and amateur diving lessons all available to children. The infamous ‘sand school’ can be found on the main beach in Caleta and enables children from as young as three to have a go at sand sculpturing.
Around the resort there is a number of play parks with swings and slides and the nearby Atlantico shopping centre also provides amusements such as bowling and arcade games as well as a multi lingual cinema. If you want to treat the kids to a quick burger then both McDonalds and Burger King can also be found here.
Archery and squash courts are located near the beach area and there is also a selection of mini golf courses around the town providing fun for all the family. A brand new roller skating park has also been recently constructed keeping the older children amused throughout the evening.
Many of the larger hotels put on daily entertainment and kids clubs are also available in a number of the hotels allowing mum and dad a bit of peace and quiet during the day!
Days out around the island include Baku Water Park in Corralejo , the Zoo down in Costa Calma and Go karting in Puerto del Roasrio.
