Fuerteventura's Caleta de Fuste, in the Canary Islands, is located close to the airport and is a fairly new town and holiday destination. Caleta de Fuste boasts many facilities to keep you and the kids occupied and most of these are featured within these pages.

Caleta has been around for about 10-15 years, before that it was a coastal, er...coast. Not much happening at all, but now it is a thriving community with child-safe beaches, and their various water and sand based activities, as well as bars, restaurants, tours, cruises, coastal walks plus much much more.

Halfway House
A diamond in the waste is what we have here. The relatievly quiet area of Monte Castillo boasts a wondeful little bar in the Halfway House.

Run by Pete and Ann, they offer great drinks, and meals for the best prices, and wonderful home cooked pies and quiches (I had a quiche last night, and it was fab), plus they offer no entertainment - which to me is a good thing, as it would get in the way of the REAL entertainment: and that's THEM!

Laughing and joking around seems as good an entertainment as any, and definately preferred by some. So when you don't care about football, or who has indeed "got talent", or if you just don't want to know whether someone can sing a song written by someone else, slightly better than someone else singing another song, a little better than the previous person who was once a little ill, and "really wants this"; then this is the gaff for you.

Simply put: if you want a quiet side street pint and a bit of a laugh as you watch the world go by, go to the Halfway House...now.
