Fuerteventura's Caleta de Fuste, in the Canary Islands, is located close to the airport and is a fairly new town and holiday destination. Caleta de Fuste boasts many facilities to keep you and the kids occupied and most of these are featured within these pages.
Caleta has been around for about 10-15 years, before that it was a coastal, er...coast. Not much happening at all, but now it is a thriving community with child-safe beaches, and their various water and sand based activities, as well as bars, restaurants, tours, cruises, coastal walks plus much much more.
Mustangs is a great place if you want some entertainment - they have entertainment every night, and this changes weekly, so there is always something new to see.
John Stone (formerly of Stoners Bar), has worked his magic once again, and turned a run down bar into a wonderful, family friendly environment, for everyone to enjoy.
There's a great play area for the kids, a pool, and for the parents there's an a la carte menu in the evenings, as well as a daytime snack menu.
The place is usually buzzing with a great Irish vibe, as many locals choose to call this bar a home from home.
Check it out asap, and say hi to John - he really has achieved something great here - I love this place.
To get to Mustang Sallys in Nuevo Horizonte, grab a cab for under €5 or take the nice coastal walk from Caleta (20 minutes).
I guarantee its worth it.
